PACIFIC PACKAGING MACHINERY INSTALLS VOLUMETRIC FILLING MACHINE AT PACKAGING ON DEMAND, INC.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA – August 6, 2007 – Pacific Packaging Machinery, the leader in rotary volumetric time-flow liquid filling machines, today announced that Packaging On Demand, Inc. has successfully installed a new Pacific 12-Station Time-Flow Filling Machine in their San Clemente, California facility.  The machine is designed to fill 1 to 64-ounce personal care products at speeds up to 180 containers per minute.

Packaging On Demand, Inc. needed to increase the filling capacity on their complete line of natural products.  In addition, they required an accurate fill on products that ranged from foamy shampoos to viscous creams and conditioners.  Miles Kaegi, President, states, “As a contract manufacturer, our equipment must be flexible to accommodate the wide range of products our customers develop, yet be able to produce accurate and quality fills.  In a sense, the equipment must be designed to work perfectly for each and every product.”

The Pacific 12-Station Rotary Volumetric Filling Machine is equipped with bottom-up fill nozzles and a variable rate of product flow system. These two features offer high speed filling on fewer stations without aeration or foaming. The machine’s integral positive displacement pump simplifies the cleaning process and provides a typical cleaning time of 15 minutes.

Kaegi adds, “We perform up to four cleanouts and changeovers during every shift.  Our Pacific has increased our throughput by allowing us to keep our line running more hours in a shift, while giving us a validated process for guaranteeing our customers a sanitary fill environment for their products.”

extremely pleased with the quality of the filler and the quality of the support staff at Pacific.”

Del Sol Foods selected a custom 12 station rotary volumetric filler with top fill valves that support up to 180 containers per minute.  The filler incorporates Pacific’s latest C.I.P. nozzles designed to handle viscosities ranging from light products with particulates to semi-viscous products with large chunks.

APOLLO HEALTH & BEAUTY CARE ADDS THREE PACIFIC ROTARY VOLUMETRIC FILLERS TO THEIR PERSONAL CARE LINE

SAN CLEMENTE, CA – September 1, 2004 – Pacific Packaging Machinery, the leader in rotary volumetric liquid filling machines, today announced that Apollo Health & Beauty Care has successfully installed 3 Pacific Time-Flow filling machines in their Ontario, Canada facility.

The three machines range in configuration from 16 to 20 stations.  The machines fill 12 to 64 ounce containers of light to semi-viscous personal care products at speeds ranging from 80 to 200 containers per minute.

As a leading provider of private label personal care products, Apollo Health & Beauty Care sought filling technology that could easily handle a wide range of viscosities without sacrificing fill accuracy.  They also needed to increase the filling capacity of their existing lines.

Richard Wachsberg, a principal at Apollo states, “The implementation and daily function of this technology has been quite satisfactory. The simplicity in design inherent in Pacific’s machines engenders confidence that start ups, operation and clean ups can be effected without measurable effort.”

Each Pacific filling machine is equipped with bottom-up fill nozzles and a variable rate of product flow system. These two features offer high speed filling without aeration or foaming, on fewer filling stations relative to other filling technology. The machine’s integral positive displacement pump simplifies the cleaning process and provides a typical cleaning time of 15 minutes or less.  Bottling Development, Inc. provided the tool-less, quick change container handling components that reduce changeover to less than 10 minutes.

Wachsberg adds, “Pacific’s filling technology has substantively enhanced Apollo’s capabilities. Coupled with the personalized attention and professional service support which we enjoy from Pacific, our investment is yielding the results we sought and has laid the foundation for similar investments in the near future.”

PACIFIC PACKAGING MACHINERY WILL EXHIBIT NEW MASS FLOW FILLING MACHINE MONOBLOC WITH ALCOA CAPPING TURRET

SAN CLEMENTE, CA.  November 1, 2004 – Pacific Packaging Machinery Inc, the leader in high-speed rotary volumetric liquid packaging fillers, today announced that they will introduce their new Liquid Mass Flow Filling Machine at 2004 Pack Expo, Chicago Booth # S-2843 on September 7th – 11th.

Pacific will be demonstrating an 18-Station Rotary Mass Flow Filling System monobloc’d with an Alcoa CSI 10-Station Rotary Capping Turret that supports speeds up to 300 containers per minute on various container sizes.

The filling system offers filling accuracy of ± ¼% or better on light through semi-viscous products.  The filling system is arranged with self-draining components and special filling nozzles that offer CIP/SIP capabilities.  In addition to the exceptional filling accuracy and minimal clean-in-place capabilities, the equipment also offers no-bottle/no-fill, quick-change/tool-less changeover parts and a durable, all stainless steel construction.

The monobloc arrangement with the Alcoa Series 125 10-head capping turret provides a “best in class” solution on the capping turret technology.   While many filling companies have acquired average-performance capping technology for their monobloc offerings, Pacific prefers to partner with the industry proven Alcoa capping system in order to offer customers proven, risk-free equipment.

The Series 125 capping machine is the latest in Alcoa CSI’s line of rugged, dependable cappers. This new capper addresses the need in various production environments for an easy-to-use capper with built-in versatility. The capper is less expensive to operate and maintain than comparable cappers in this class, giving it one of the lowest operations costs in the industry. Alcoa’s Cap-In-Head technology is a proven system for eliminating misapplication via positive pickup and placement of various closures (18 to 110-mm) on a wide range of container sizes (1 to 6” diameter).

A key component of the new filling system is the Endress & Hauser Dosimass Mass Flow Measuring System Meters that offer ± 0.1% accuracy.  The Allen Bradley CompactLogix and Flex I/O Modules are used to control the flow meters and ensure accurate results.  The Allen Bradley PowerFlex 70 closed-loop vector controllers and Allen Bradley PanelView 1000+ HMI are also included in the simple, yet high performance control system for operating the machine.

PACIFIC PACKAGING MACHINERY WINS CONTRACT WITH CUSTOM SOLUTIONS, INC.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA – March 18, 2003 – Pacific Packaging Machinery, the leader in high speed volumetric liquid fillers, today announced that Custom Solutions, Inc. has successfully installed a new 12-station personal and home care filler in their Grain Valley, Missouri facility.  The machine is designed to fill detergents, shampoos, and lotions at speeds up to 180 containers per minute.

Custom Solutions, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of “value brand products”.  In early 2000, they made a business decision to standardize their filling equipment with a single vendor.  Doug Glasscock, CEO recalls, “This was an exciting, yet challenging project.  The management team understood the benefits of standardizing with a single filling vendor.  The difficulty was finding a rotary filling machine capable of accommodating the wide range of personal care products we produce”.

Custom Solutions, Inc. assembled its project team to evaluate the various filling equipment vendors.  The project team has over 100 years of packaging experience from companies such as Pepsi, Colgate-Palmolive, Lipton and Liquid Soap Products.  Adds Glasscock, “We started with a clean slate and put every brand and style of filler on the table.  One year later, Pacific was the clear winner.  Our decision was based on (1) their guaranteed accuracy of ± 1/3%, (2) versatility to fill 4 to 128-ounce containers on both foamy and semi-viscous products, (3) ease of use on both cleaning and changeover and  (4) quality – the filling machine had to be a workhorse with a company that would stand behind it”.

Custom Solutions, Inc. selected a Pacific 12 station rotary volumetric personal and home care filler.  The machine is equipped with special bottom-up fill nozzles to accommodate light and semi-viscous products. The machine includes a servomotor drive system, PLC controller and color touch screen that offers greater filling accuracy, ease of use and reduced maintenance.  Pacific’s Universal Change Parts are incorporated that reduce changeover to less than 10 minutes.  They also eliminate storage requirements typically required with traditional change parts.

COVINA, CA – October 18, 2001 – Pacific Packaging Machinery Inc, the leader in high speed volumetric liquid fillers, today announced that Stanford Personal Care has installed a new 18 station personal care filler for their high speed line in Santa Clarita, CA.  The machine is designed to initially fill lotions, creams, gels, shampoos, conditioners and light lotions at speeds up to 270 containers per minute.

As a leading contract and private label manufacturer, Stanford Personal Care packages both an in- house product line and numerous outside product lines for large retailers and personal care companies.  A new high-speed line was necessary to meet their growing customer demand.  In addition to meeting the capacity requirements, the filling equipment had to be flexible and easy to changeover.  Given their business model dictates that they fill a wide variety of product viscosities into a myriad of container sizes and shapes, the filling machine has to be accurate with the light toner products up through the
viscous lotions.

Jim McAlpine, Vice President of Manufacturing, adds, “All of our products are tailored to each customer, from formula to packaging.  With the number of customers we have and the variety of fills and bottles, it was critical we found a machine that had quick and easy change parts and allowed total flexibility for our varied formulas.  For the 19 years I’ve been in this industry, I’ve used a Pacific filler, which is a testimony to its durability and reliability.  We’ve already filled one million pieces with our new machine, and we are very pleased with the results.”

Stanford Personal Care selected a custom, 18 station rotary volumetric personal care filler.  The machine is equipped with special nozzles to accommodate semi-viscous and viscous products for containers with a 20-mm cap closure or greater.  The machine includes a vector variable frequency drive system, PLC controller and color touch screen that offers greater filling accuracy, ease of use and reduced maintenance.  Pacific’s Universal Change Parts are incorporated that reduce changeover to
